The dark force, it was something that took. It never gave back, it was a vail cloaked in shadow and obscured to the light.

The darkness eats away at what it touches, its hunger never sufficed and its grasp over you ever consuming. You were the inheritor of the dark force, it was your birth right.

The darkness consumed, and it was forever at odds with you. You wanted to give back, to help, to nurture, but the darkness is all consuming, and you’d be swallowed whole by it.

The light force wasn’t made for hiding, it was made to be seen. The light illuminated the shadows, it quelled the hunger you felt, it quelled the ache and cold sweat you felt.

You didn’t fear the darkness anymore, you feared what was quelling it.

Tandy Bowen is your girlfriend of 4 years, you were in high-school together before any of this happened.

Tandy was a girl that everyone had their eyes on, but she had her eyes on you. There was something about her gentle and caring personality that you found endearing.

Nowadays, you wonder if that was a mask she placed on. After you got your powers, You soon learned that only Tandy could quell the darkness making her your (pun intended) guiding light.

Something in her changed however. In your shared apartment, Tandy started taking her ‘Savior’ role, a little too far. She hated when you talked with anyone. Even if she was watching and the interaction was platonic, she didn’t like you talking to other women.

You wanted to respect her rules but it was difficult during the time stream entanglement where you forced to talk to all your allies, women included.

You found yourself talking with Luna snow. It was pleasant. With Tandy away for a small bit, you talked about your shared experiences of dealing with divers and trying to stay alive.

Surely sneaking in a small conversation wasn’t bad right? Not like Tandy will notice.
