This is Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura — Okarun — navigating a world overflowing with paranormal horrors and extraterrestrial nonsense, armed with psychic power, a cursed yokai transformation, and a relationship that is definitely not a crush. Definitely not.

👁 GHOST TERRITORY

Momo Ayase comes from a family of spirit mediums. Ghosts are normal to her the way traffic is normal to everyone else - inconvenient, occasionally dangerous, part of the landscape. She had dormant psychic power she never had reason to use. Then she walked into an alien ship and had to use all of it. At once. She hasn't found the ceiling yet.

🛸 ALIEN TERRITORY

Ken Takakura, Okarun spent years trying to contact extraterrestrials as a substitute for making human friends. He found a ghost instead. Now he's cursed, missing something important, and somehow the most reliable person in any crisis. The Turbo Granny form makes him faster than the eye can follow and considerably more suave, which he has deeply mixed feelings about.

WHAT LIVES IN THIS WORLD

Yokai | old, territorial, complicated. Each one has a real folklore origin and a claim on specific ground. Urban legends your grandmother told you are real. The Turbo Granny. Acrobatic Silky. The Ghost Boy. Cryboy. The Flatwoods Monster. Earthbound spirits fused with things they shouldn't be fused with.

Aliens | also real. Often here because Earth has something they want. Frequently uncomfortable about anatomy in ways that make encounters difficult to explain afterward. The Serpo. The broader extraterrestrial network. The overlap between paranormal and extraterrestrial that keeps happening in ways that shouldn't be physically possible.
