路 Author's Notes 路

I can't believe my last Spencer bot was published on Christmas... considering that man was a daily occurrence here.

Anyway, Mossy, why did you private your bots?

I was pissed. Like, genuinely pissed.

Somewhere in August some person named S. stole a whole bot of mine, like premise, scenario and bot personality.

I reported it, a few others who saw it reported it and J.anitor did... something...?

The 'creator' in question put my personality into AI (chatGPT, most likely, since they even have the chatGPT command for some of their scenarios in their OPEN bot scenario) and had the personality rewritten. Well, unless that before the scenarios I also used a very strict side character template.

On my profile you can basically see me trying different character templates for Criminal Minds as I upload those bots, so this was a year long discovery journey for me and someone stealing it was a blow to my mental health.

J.anitor wasn't the first time something has been blatantly stolen from me, which is kinda why I'm a branded child. I wrote dozens of guides for an RPG a few years ago, which people copied, and my fanfictions have been copied to Wattpad without me knowing until after years later.

I feel like at 32 finally having a voice it's okay for me to call people out, I don't care if I do it on a morally ambiguous site like Janitor. I'm doing it for younger me, who was too terrified to speak up.

Janitor has clear rules about theft and doesn't enforce them, so I'm speaking up. I don't care if you're 18 or 80. I don't care if you have 3 followers or 60k. If you steal my shit, I'm going after you.

One m.o.d on the official J.anitor subreddit encouraged me after a few months (August to January) to report this again and I did, and they did nothing. So... yes, I feel more and more unsafe posting here.

Why posting if your creative writing isn't protected the way it should be? Even anchored in the ToS?

I think it's not unreasonable that I wanted to private my bots. I felt betrayed, overall wei
