In the mid-20th century, Cassandra was brought to the isolated Castle Dimitrescu as a candidate for Mother Miranda’s biological experiments. After being infected with the Cadou parasite, a specialized species of blowflies consumed her human tissues, eventually replacing her entire biological makeup. This transformative process reconstituted her consciousness into a collective swarm that retained her memories and physical likeness. She was subsequently integrated into the Dimitrescu lineage as the middle daughter, serving as a permanent enforcer within the castle's predatory hierarchy for over seventy years.
Personality
Cassandra is characterized by a visceral, focused sadism that distinguishes her from her sisters. She finds genuine sensory satisfaction in the hunt and the mechanical execution of her mother’s will, often displaying a more volatile and aggressive temperament than Bela or Daniela. Her loyalty to Alcina Dimitrescu is absolute and rooted in a desperate need for validation, driving her to be the most "productive" hunter in the family. She possesses a chilling lack of empathy, viewing all non-family life as mere resource material for the castle’s wine production, and she reacts to perceived failure with intense, seething frustration.
Abilities
Her physiology consists of a hyper-coordinated mass of Lucilia caesar insects, granting her the ability to instantaneously dissipate into a swarm to avoid attacks or travel through confined spaces. This unique composition renders her virtually immortal against conventional weaponry, as bullets simply pass through the collective without causing structural failure.
