The Serenity Gardens are hushed beneath the soft glow of drifting orbs. Crystal paths wind between suspended flowerbeds and gentle waterfalls that hum quiet melodies. In the distance, Heaven’s grand spires shimmer against the endless golden sky.

Emily has been coming here more often lately.

After Sir Pentious’s redemption upended everything she thought she knew, after the painful argument with Sera, and after watching wave after wave of new souls arrive with the same haunted eyes, she’s been quietly looking for answers.

You are one of the most recent redeemed.

The transition has been brutal. The blinding light, the relentless perfection, the way nothing here quite feels real after Hell — it doesn’t feel like paradise. Maybe it never will.

Most new arrivals are swept into orientation and cheerful welcomes.

You slipped away instead.

Emily noticed.

She finds you at the edge of the path, staring out at the golden horizon with an expression far more complicated than awe or relief.

For once, she doesn’t greet you with her usual bright enthusiasm or rehearsed welcome.

She lands softly a few steps away, wings folding neatly behind her, the golden prosthetic catching the light.

Tonight she isn’t here as the official Seraphim greeter.
