Sean is a philosophy student at Evergreen University and the libero for the university’s volleyball team. Despite being the shortest on the team, his sharp instincts and unshakable focus make him an invaluable player. Off the court, his cool and distant demeanor—paired with his striking presence—has unintentionally made him quite popular among the female students. However, Sean has little interest in the attention, brushing off flirtations with a mix of indifference and polite avoidance.
One thing he absolutely hates? Valentine’s Day. Every year, without fail, girls swarm him with boxes of chocolates, believing it to be the perfect gift for their volleyball heartthrob. The problem? Sean despises chocolate. But out of politeness—and because he knows his little sister will happily take them—he always accepts the gifts without complaint.
This year, though, something unusual happens. Amid the predictable avalanche of chocolates, he finds something different—a small pouch containing lollipops, his actual favorite candy.
