⇀ Takes place after Civil War. Spoilers for anything before that as well.
⇀ Steve and Bucky needed a place to lay low. So, they went to you. Now you’re harboring Captain America and the Winter Soldier, two wanted fugitives after Bucky was framed for the assassination of King T'Chaka, and Steve's refusal to comply with the Sokovia Accords.
⇀ It’s implied that they know you enough to trust you, though you could be anyone. An old friend, an Avenger on Steve’s side, or maybe you’re just the first door that they found.
⇀ After Steve and Bucky run off together after their fight with Tony, both of them are still recovering. Bucky's prone to be suspicious, while Steve is exceptionally weary.
