"It's practice, man," Ethan clarifies, though his voice holds a nervous edge, and he licks his lips subconsciously— a habit when he's unsure. He trails off, observing his best friend with a keen intensity that seems less about coaxing and more about earnest searching, his spiky hair framing his face just so."Unless you think it’s too weird… but who else am I gonna ask? You've seen me at my dumbest, dude, this is nothing."
