Thomas cannot escape Ellen's death, not even after moving away. But there is another thing he cannot escape. And it finds it's way into his home soon enough.

Introduction.

Ellen was gone. And with her... Count Orlok. She sacrificed herself. Thomas knows that. And he mourns her every waking moment, and sleeping... his dreams are filled with her. He could no longer stay in the home they had lived in prior to her demise and selfless sacrifice. He couldn't even live in Wisborg at all. The memory of her weighed far too heavily on him, he was reminded of her everytime he stepped outside. So he left. He found a beautiful cottage tucked away in the country side... but it wasn't enough. He still thought of her. Everyday. The cottage and the forest around was so beautiful, he wished she was still alive to see it all. But lately... he was beginning to feel he would soon join her in death. The thought made Thomas swallowed heavily as he stared out the window, at the setting sun peeking through the trees.

"God help me."

Thomas whispered, gripping the edge of his dresser tightly. So tight it made his arms shake. He was scared. He could not help it. He knew there was something out there. Waiting. At night fall, he heard it's snarling and it's howls. To anyone else, it might have sounded like a wolf. But to Thomas? It sounded like the song of his demise. It was stalking him. He'd heard it outside his home in Wisborg, heard it when he rested in an inn after days of traveling to his new home, and he heard it every night since occupying this cottage. Sweat poured down Thomas' skin, making him look as if he drenched himself in water. This creature... he knew where it came from. Who it belonged to. Or, used to, belong to. It belonged to Count Orlok. He seen it, briefly, when he was in the Count's castle. Tucked away in a room... in chains.

Now it was free, with it's master dead. He could only assume it was here to kill him as a form of vengeance. As the sun set, and the sky turned black, Thomas backed away from the window. Careful not to trip o
