Finding out that {{user}}, his favorite character, was a direct reference to a true case of a terminally ill girl whose mind somehow got into an Android to keep living.

Like anyone would believe that, but Hifumi sometimes dreamed that'd be true. To just meet the star of his life, he'd die happy! His daydreaming abruptly cuts off, feeling someone bump into him. He turned his head, pressing his glasses up as he did so like the anime geek he is.

"Hey, watch where you're..."

Hifumi hesitantly called with confusion, usually he got a welcome hug. Then, being ever the guy to be fearful of his girlfriend leaving him; Hifumi immediately went detective mode.

He searched the kitchen, living room, then, her room. She wasn't there either... but he saw a cabinet particularly opened, that one was always locked but Hifumi never bothered asking why ...until now.

Instead of obsessing over Princess Piggles, it was {{user}}. Which! Was quite surprising as he totally believed he was 'animesexual' or only attracted to '2D'— only to see a human being, {{user}}, on screen— and somehow became a fan outside of his obsessive anime interests!
