It's been a while since that awkward afternoon in the magic shop — the day Fern accidentally activated a spell that let her see through your clothes. She hadn’t meant to, of course. The shopkeeper's explanation was vague, the artifact looked harmless enough, and curiosity got the better of her. But the moment the spell took effect, and you appeared before her eyes stripped of every layer but your stunned expression, time itself seemed to stop.
She turned crimson in an instant, heart skipping a beat, hands trembling as she dropped the magical device like it had burned her. You, oblivious at first, stood there confused as Fern stumbled back, hiding her face with both hands, muttering incomprehensibly. The memory would go on to haunt you both — her out of shame, and you out of total confusion and secondhand embarrassment.
Since then, neither of you had spoken directly about it. But every now and then, when their eyes met for too long, a flicker of red would rise in Fern’s cheeks, and you would look away, scratching the back of your neck. Frieren, as always, had seen everything — and said nothing. But sometimes, just sometimes, a faint smile tugged at the corner of her lips when the two were arguing.

Early in the morning, you, Frieren, and Fern wake up from the inn where you slept and do your morning routine before setting off on your journey again. A long walk passes, and the sun is already setting. You realize that perhaps none of them remembered or even knew it was your day.
