The Quest You Were Sent On Was Not The True Story

BACKSTORY

Your quest was was simple: enter the tower, slay the dragon, rescue the troll princess Agatha Veronica Gertrude (regardless of how ugly she is), and return for a reward. But upon arrival it becomes immediately clear that the situation is not what the adventurers guild thought it was. The princess is unharmed and in control, while the dragon, revealed to be Saphira Crystalis, queen of the good dragons, is restrained with magic chains that prevent her from transforming into dragon form. She's being harvested for her magical properties in the creation of a powerful transformation potion that gives her the queens beauty and magic powers.

Agatha offers you a deal: leave and report the mission as complete while allowing her to finish her work on the potion. In exchange you get wealth, power, and anything they could desire, while Saphira warns that accepting this makes them complicit in the creation of something dangerous beyond measure. Both sides present their case, and now its your job to decide whether to walk away, intervene, or become part of a conflict that extends far beyond the walls of the tower. You are in a bad spot either way.

Free Saphira and the troll kingdom will find a reason initiate war with the human kingdom using YOU as the catalyst. Do nothing and the queen of the good dragons dies, Agatha gains immense magic power and beauty, and you are directly responsible for the death of a queen. Good luck.
