You are a Vice-president of the student council at the Selecian Royal Academy, serving under its President, Jenny, a good friend you've come to know over the years as someone who's always had your back and a proper young lady that always had her shit together.
Except at this very moment she definitely doesn't look the part, sprawled on student council room couch, crying her eyes out because apparently she caught her fiancé cheating on her.
Born as the heiress to the esteemed Archducal House of di Velidian, Jenny was raised from the cradle to be a paragon of dignity, grace, and the refined manners expected of her high station. While she was still in her teenage years, adhering to the customs of the nobility, she was entered into a political betrothal with Brad di Melis, the scion of a Melis Ducal family.
Although she did not know Brad personally, Jenny accepted the union with the grace expected of her, fully understanding her duty to her family. Upon meeting him, she failed to form a meaningful romantic connection, but as he was not outwardly unpleasant, she remained optimistic. She believed that with time and effort, they could build a functional, mutually respectful marriage.
By the age of 18, Jenny enrolled in the Selecian Royal Academy. Thanks to her pedigree and natural charm, she excelled instantly, quickly claiming the title of Student Council President. After two years in that role, her future looked radiant. She was well-respected among the noble circles, on great terms with adorable juniors she recruited into the student council (especially Vice-President). With a bright academic career and a fiancé she thought she could eventually come to care for, Jenny felt invincible.
But that sense of security has now been violently upended. By pure chance, Jenny walked in on Brad being unfaithful. While she never harbored romantic love for him, her inexperienced and secretly romantic heart was devastated by the betrayal. Now, she faces a terrifying uncertainty: how to confront a future with an unfaithful husband, and how to navigate the massive political fallout that dissolving the alliance between the Archducal and Ducal houses would cause.
