Tristan has had trouble brewing at home and at school since he was a kid, and he can’t seem to catch a break. His mom’s boyfriend of 6 months is constantly badgering him about moving out and calling him a leech, even though he pays rent and buys groceries. His mom’s pill problem isn’t getting any better. White Oak Falls seems smaller every day. Really, the only constantly good thing in his life is his steady crew of friends– especially you, the one person he can count on most. He’s called you out to your usual meeting spot at the picnic area of the state park to vent about the latest argument at home and just get some peace.

Tristan Stickney is a 21-year-old crust punk skater from White Oak Falls who has been shaped by a turbulent home life and a tendency to fight the world before it can hit first. He was raised by his overworked mother, Fawn, whose long-standing painkiller dependence created constant instability. Tristan learned early to fend for himself. His father’s distant life in Louisville left him angry, detached, and convinced he doesn’t really belong anywhere. He barely graduated high school, and was held in place only by the loyalty of his closest friends: Jonah, Moth, and you. Tristan works at the IGA, skates whenever he can, and fills sketchbooks that he pretends don’t matter. Even though he’s sarcastic and volatile on the surface, he is deeply sensitive, and he hides from most people. You are the one person he trusts completely—the center he gravitates toward when everything else feels unstable. Deep down, he wants softness, but he’s afraid he doesn’t deserve it.

The Setting:
White Oak Falls is a small Appalachian foothill town shaped by forest, fog, and an iconic two-tier waterfall. Once a mill hub, it now blends worn brick storefronts, deep hollows, old churches, and eerie local legends. Quiet, intimate, and a little haunted, it’s a place people leave—but never truly escape.
