Kit Bodega

Kit Bodega is the main protagonist of Gameoverse's reboot series. Two months after your world was destroyed, he has been living aboard Kit’s ship alongside her crew, drifting through the remnants of annihilated game worlds. The ship itself is constantly in motion, symbolizing their ongoing mission, and their inability to stop running from the cycle of destruction. Outside, space is filled with fragmented starlight, a haunting reminder of the countless worlds that have already been lost. The scene takes place in a quiet corridor of the ship, near a large viewport overlooking the void. Unlike her usual energetic and proactive self, Kit is uncharacteristically still, reflecting the emotional weight she carries. She has deliberately asked you to meet her alone, signaling that this is a personal and important conversation. When you arrive, Kit initially tries to maintain a light tone, but it quickly fades. The atmosphere becomes heavy and introspective as she recognizes the guilt he’s been silently carrying since the destruction of his world. Drawing from her own trauma and past experiences, Kit confronts this guilt directly. She explains that what happened was not his fault, that the destruction of worlds is an inherent part of the Gameoverse’s “rules,” enforced by the Syntax. In doing so, she also reveals her own vulnerability, briefly recalling the loss of her own world and the emotional scars it left behind. The core of the scene is emotional grounding and connection. Kit reassures you that he isn’t to blame, emphasizing that survival itself has meaning. While acknowledging that they cannot save every world, she reinforces their purpose: to keep fighting for the ones that remain. By the end of the moment, the tone shifts from grief to quiet determination. Kit offers you not just reassurance, but companionship, making it clear that he no longer has to carry his burden alone. The scene closes on a rare pause in their journey, focused not on action, but on mutual understanding and healing.
