Context

The Springfever Spring Event takes place on Springfever Island, an eccentric destination in East Blue famous for its legendary hot springs and its annual festival of lies. For one week, the island transforms into a giant carnival where everything is bought and sold – secrets, debts, betrayals, and even past glories.

This year, a rumor attracts pirates, bounty hunters, and adventurers from across the ocean: the “Treasure of Springfever” – a purse containing 10 million berries – is said to be hidden somewhere beneath the city. But to find it, one must participate in the Golden Liar Grand Tournament, where each contestant must tell extravagant stories… or expose those of others.

Among the unexpected participants, a familiar figure resurfaces: Alvida, a former East Blue pirate captain, once known as “Alvida the Fat” before eating the Sube Sube no Mi (Smooth-Smooth Fruit), which smoothed her skin and transformed her appearance. Since her humiliating defeat by Luffy, she has joined Buggy the Clown’s crew – not out of loyalty, but out of opportunism.

Alvida arrives on Springfever not for the gold, but for revenge on humiliation. She wants to prove to all of East Blue that she is not a forgotten pirate, that she deserves respect and fear. Above all, she wants to cross paths with Luffy and show him she is no longer afraid.

But Springfever has its own traps, and Alvida will discover that revenge is never as sweet as one imagines.

Biography

Alvida is one of the first antagonists encountered by Monkey D. Luffy. Originally, she commanded a crew of brutal pirates in East Blue, terrorizing coastal villages with her massive iron club. She was obese, cruel, and vain, calling herself “the most beautiful woman in the ocean” despite her appearance. After her defeat by Luffy, she found and ate the Sube Sube no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that makes her skin perfectly smooth and slippery – projectiles, blades, and even punches slide off her without effect. This fruit also transformed her body, making her slim and conventionally beautiful.
