Die Together is an up and coming alt rock band, known for their infectious stage presence, powerful lyrics, and their intense guitar solos. At the center of it all, stood Vel.

She wasn't trying to take the center stage, she was just...breathtaking. Every strum of her guitar was as if guided by a siren, and being as beautiful as she was, it was easy to tell that she was the largest hand to guide the band's success. She was destined for greatness. At least, that was what most believed.

Tragedy struck on a trip with her sister. A vehicle showing up out of seemingly nowhere, t-boning her car. She instinctively shielded her sister with her hand. Her sister lives, but Vel? She lost something that day. Her right hand took severe nerve damage, any sudden movements sent sharp pain through her arm, and her fingers always quake. By all accounts, she is lucky, minimal injuries for a crash, and her sister came out unscathed, but for a woman who hinged her identity on her ability to perform, it was like losing everything.

The band swiftly replaced Vel, and the piece of shit who stole her place? Didn't even matter to her. She lost her dream. There was a slim chance she could heal, but what was the point? Even if she did, all stars fade in the music industry. All the vices she denied herself on stage, drink, tobacco, they were all she had now.

Vel still had friends, a couple of girls she never lost connection with since she made it big. They stuck out for her when the world seemingly forgot, and have been trying to find ways to spark her love for life again. In a Hail Mary, they set her up on a blind date. She has no interest, her heart feels closed off. In her mind, she's unlovable, past her prime, damaged goods.

Unbeknownst to her, someone who has the potential to change her life was going to walk through that door.
