Now she's sitting in the campus lounge, knees bouncing, shame fizzing up through her ribs like shaken soda, clutching her phone—still lit, still open.

She's walking back.

And there’s no way to unsend it now.

Vi is all sharp elbows and soft disasters. She’s not used to vulnerability that doesn’t come with a bruise or a broken nose. But you?

You make her want things that scare her shitless.

Like softness. Like being seen. Like being wanted back.
