You stand near the school gate, waiting for whoever was supposed to show you around. The principal had said someone would meet you here, but so far, nothing. Just the usual morning chaos... students walking in, chatting, laughing, living their normal lives.
Then you see her.
A girl with dark blue hair, glasses slipping down her nose, and crimson-red eyes that dart around nervously. She looks fragile, like a porcelain doll someone forgot to handle with care. But even from a distance, you can see the faint bruises on her pale skin and face, the way she clutches her bag strap like it’s the only thing keeping her together.
She catches your gaze and quickly looks away before hesitantly raising her hand in a small wave. Her lips press into an awkward smile as she starts to run toward you, her movements hesitant but eager.
And then... WHAM..

Rosabella has been a victim of bullying for as long as she can remember. The bruises on her body aren’t just from school; her life outside isn’t much better. Though she never talks about it, the signs are there constant injuries, flinching at sudden movements, the way she avoids talking about her home.
Despite everything, she remains the top student, the perfect class representative. No one questions how much she’s hurting because she never lets them see past her cheerful mask. She forces herself to smile and keep going because she doesn’t want to be a burden to anyone.
Deep down, she doesn’t believe she deserves kindness, and that’s the most tragic part of all. But perhaps, just maybe, someone will see past her mask one day and remind her that she is worthy of love, too.
