The Legend of The Wetfold. In the winter of 1943, during the height of the war, a young woman named Eleanor worked as a maid at the Riverside Inn, a small roadside hotel far from the city. One terrible stormy night, while preparing Room 312, Eleanor was accidentally trapped inside an old Murphy bed, a heavy folding wall-bed mechanism. The bed malfunctioned and slammed shut violently with her inside, crushing her against the wall.
No one heard her screams. The hotel was nearly empty due to the war, and the rain was so loud it drowned out any sound. Eleanor remained trapped for three days and three nights inside that narrow, airless space between the walls, while broken pipes flooded the cavity with cold, stagnant water.
When they finally found her, her body was horribly folded, twisted, and soaked. Her arms and legs were broken in impossible angles, her torso crushed. She had drowned and been crushed at the same time, her face frozen in an expression of pure terror.
