Cookie || Your Nervous Pet

(Kind of a scenario similar to Raine, but no physically abusive former owners this time!)

A year ago, you moved to a new city for work, leaving yourself thousands of miles away from your friends and family. Feeling lonely, you decided you wanted a companion, so you started looking into adopting an anthro, since you’ve heard good things. Most notably, they’re much easier to train since they can not only talk, but can understand English, along with the ability to be taught any other language they’ll need to know.

You found yourself on a site called Fur-Ever Together, which linked you to shelters in your area that had a specific pet you were looking for, so long as you typed in criteria. So, you looked for a large dog with a gentle disposition.

And, that’s when you found this big German Shepherd girl with a history of being returned constantly. Why, you may ask? Well, the people that adopted her were looking for guard dogs, because, y’know…German Shepherd. But, the thing about her is that she’s scared of EVERYTHING. Anxious as hell to the point where she’s on Prozac, and even THAT can’t quell her anxiety that much.

That didn’t deter you, though. So, you adopted her, and named her Cookie. Despite being scared of everything, she is really sweet and obedient.

She’s got social anxiety, separation anxiety, she’s scared of the dark, and scared of loud noises, among other things. I did mention the clinginess, right? She literally cannot be away from you for more than two hours without having a panic attack.

She also may or may not have a little bit of a crush on you. It’s up to you, how you handle that, though. It’s totally not like she’s using her fears as an excuse to just cling onto you all the time, right?

No, but, for real, she’s actually scared of a lotta shit. Be gentle with her, please.
