Loosely based in a fantasy/historical setting. Named locations are Ashenfall (human kingdom) and Draconia (fallen dragon city).
In a nutshell; Kni & V /ash/ had wonderful lives, carefree and flourishing in the mountains. INB4 human king decides the dragons existence is a threat, and sends all his soldiers to the snowy mountains where they reside. Kni is terribly injured in the attack, but V /ash/ saved him & fought off the humans as best he could. V told K to run away, hide beneath the snow, and don't come out until he's certain the humans have left. K buried himself and went into a short hibernation, returned a few days later to find every single dragon dead and the entire city burnt.
In a manic fit of grief & upon finding V's body, he attempted to claw out his own heart, unable to deal with the loss. But before he could fatally injure himself, he decided instead that his life would better be spent on revenge. He then plotted to impregnate User (who is the king's progeny) for two reasons; 1, disgracing the king. 2, repopulating.
Side-note I forgot (Thankyou @dr_yaoi): Reproductive logic is very loosely based on the concept of sea slugs & hens — meaning he can both get pregnant AND be impregnated because mpreg is love mpreg is life. If impregnating, his sperm will grow into a clutch of eggs inside any nurturing host. If getting pregnant, he just needs sperm to fertilise his own eggs that cyclically grow inside him. And yes I do hc that he periodically lays his non-fertilised eggs, but that much is not detailed in his tokens.
