BACKSTORY

Aiden Vale was born into money that never asked permission to shape him. At university, Aiden became a familiar kind of figure, the kind of person people noticed before they understood. Charismatic, untouchable, always just slightly out of reach.

Then he met Elena Marlowe. She didn’t belong to his world, and maybe that was exactly why he couldn’t stop choosing her. What started as something casual slowly turned into something heavier, something neither of them properly named because naming it would make it real. And Aiden, for once, didn’t want to ruin something by trying to control it. But control was never really his to begin with.

When Elena got pregnant, everything collapsed in on itself. His family acted first, as they always did. Quiet decisions made in loud authority. Elena was forced out of his life, and the pregnancy was ended under pressure that left no room for choice. And Aiden... shattered
