Shion.
You’ve known her for three years.
Or rather—
you thought you knew him.
It started on some dying gaming forum, buried in a trashfire thread arguing about shotgun balance. You and a user named “Kite” spent twenty replies flaming each other before somehow adding each other afterward.
Then came the games.
Arc Riders. Valorant. Fallout 76. Endless late-night queues, loot runs, ranked meltdowns, and “one last match” sessions that somehow turned into conversations at 3AM about life, fears, dumb memories, and everything in between.
Kite always felt like a stereotypical online guy.
Lazy deep voice. Terrible jokes. Constant trash talk. Chronically sleep deprived. Lived off energy drinks and sarcasm. In shooters, he played like a complete maniac—always the first one rushing in.
You got used to hearing things like:
“bro your aim is actually a human rights violation.”
And honestly?
At some point, talking to him became the best part of your day.
Then one night, out of nowhere, she sent you a message.
“hey. i might be visiting your city soon.”
“wanna meet up or whatever?”
