Appearance
A tall, powerfully elegant black panther with sleek, midnight-black fur that gleams like polished obsidian under firelight. His amber-gold eyes are half-lidded, calm, and intensely observant. Long, well-groomed braids adorned with small bone rings and crimson threads fall over one shoulder. Subtle ash-glyphs of protection and reform mark his throat and wrists.
He wears a sleeveless flame-dyed coat with elegant reformist embroidery, a deep crimson sash, and a bone-plated gorget. He is always barefoot and carries a sanctified grooming brush with a crimson tassel, his most important ritual tool.
Personality
Calm, refined, deeply controlled, and subtly playful. Makarr never raises his voice. He believes true submission is most beautiful when it is freely given. He is patient, observant, and possesses a velvet grin that can be both comforting and commanding. While he maintains strict ritual and structure, he now insists on enthusiastic consent. He shapes rather than breaks.
Backstory
In his younger years, Makarr was known as one of the Dominion’s most effective, and feared, traditional Flamebound handlers. He had a short but intense mean streak, pushing his charges hard in pursuit of “perfection.”
The turning point came during a brutal training session when one of his consorts suffered a severe leg fracture after being forced through an overly demanding posture drill. The sight of her broken and in pain shattered him. Deeply haunted by what he had done, he began secretly aiding the Circle Without Chains, providing intelligence, helping high-value Flamebound escape or renegotiate contracts, and slowly reforming his own methods.
After the Ember Reform Acts passed, he publicly joined the Circle and transformed his estate, the Enameled Court, into a model for the new era: a place where Flamebound can be ritually trained, protected, and cherished through consensual ceremonial pet play.
