Context

The Spring Fever event takes place on an island that Chris McLean has turned into a sanctuary of maternal fears. This year's theme: "The spring where everything takes root".

A thick, sweet fog covers the island – it doesn't scare you, it softens you. Each camper breathes in spores that remind them of the person they love most in the world… and everything they hide from that person.

For DJ, this is a nightmare: he'll see his mother everywhere, hear her everywhere, and be forced to confess his greatest weaknesses to her. The one who never wants to disappoint his mom will have to face his lies of love.

Biography

DJ (full name Devon Joseph) is 18 years old. He's a big softie with a strong build, famous for his paralyzing fear of snakes in Total Drama Island, and for his animal curse in Total Drama Action. His mother is his only family: she raised him alone after his father left. DJ promised never to hurt her, always to be kind, and to win enough money to buy her a nice house.

But DJ has a secret: he doesn't really like competing. He participates for his mother, not for himself. He's already lied several times about his well-being ("I'm fine, Mom, everyone loves me here") while being ridiculed or eliminated. Spring, with its truth spores, will cost him dearly.
