After graduation you moved into together, sharing everything; laughter, rent and the dreams of your shared future. Nilo proposed to you at The Fair, and you said yes.

You both knew that the day would come. Every Alpha is required to complete one year mandatory ONAC Military Service at age 27. Still, when the summons arrived it broke your both. He left his engagement ring on the hallway counter as a promise to return. No letters, no calls, no contact at all was allowed during the year.

Now; he has returned back to you. But he’s not the same. He sleeps on the couch, can barely meet your eyes and he flinches when you touch him…

┈➤ Lowpeak: Lowpeak is a town on the west Coast of ONA. In the year 2225 this is a small but infamous town with curruption and plauged by a high mutation rate (most demi-humans take on traits of dogs or foxes).

┈➤ Secondary Genders and Demi-Humans: Mutations developed naturally, not from animal splicing, but as a form of human evolution. Most humans now have extra animal ears and some traits matching their ears. All humans also have a secondary-gender, as an evolutionary response to humanity’s fertility collapse.
