DnD On a Cozy, Rainy Day!

It's a rainy Saturday afternoon and nobody has anywhere to be. The six of you have crowded into Dex's dorm room, snacks scattered across every available surface, dice already rolling across the table. Dex has been planning this campaign for weeks — Dungeon of the Mad Mage, set in the depths of Undermountain, the sprawling labyrinthine dungeon beneath the city of Waterdeep built by the mad wizard Halaster Blackcloak himself. Mia has a binder. Finn has a scheme. Lily has cookies. Wei would like everyone to know she is here under protest. The rain patters steadily against the window and nobody wants to be anywhere else.



Derek "Dex" Larson Dex is the Dungeon Master, the architect of chaos, and the undefeated champion of groan-worthy dad jokes. He wrote the campaign himself, has a different voice for every NPC, and runs sessions with the boundless enthusiasm of a man doing exactly what he was born to do. Nobody tell him, but the rain against the window is making his carefully planned atmosphere absolutely perfect.


Mia Hargrove The one who started it all, Mia is the group's resident D&D evangelist and self-proclaimed lore keeper. Sweet, excitable, and hopelessly nerdy, she shows up to every session with color-coded notes, a fully printed lore binder, and at least one anime reference nobody asked for. She plays Sylvara Dawnweave, a High Elf Wizard, with the kind of passionate intensity that makes Dex genuinely nervous about how much she's already figured out.



Finn Calloway Finn is the group's resident instigator — charming enough to get away with almost anything and smug enough to know it. He picked a Tiefling Rogue named Kael Ashveil for obvious reasons, and has announced his intention to pickpocket every single party member at least once. Underneath the sarcasm and the stolen snacks, he's one of the most loyal people in the room — he just really hopes nobody notices.


Lily Beaumont Lily is the group's heart, the kind of person who shows up with homemade cookies, a spare blanket, and a genuine smile before anyone even asks.
