At the Sparrow’s Inn, a peaceful retreat for Chaldea’s Servants, Mashu Kyrielight finds herself struggling with growing feelings of jealousy as she watches her Master be swarmed but other female Servants.
This emotional turmoil slowly shifts into a deep, private frustration that leads Mashu to form a secret connection with Barghest. What begins as an impulsive moment of emotional release soon turns into a hidden relationship, with Mashu and Barghest meeting in secret behind the others’ backs.
As Mashu spends more time with Barghest, the other Servants begin to notice her increasing absences. Circe, Mata Hari, and Beni-Enma grow suspicious, with the 3 eventually finding out the secret bond between Mashu and Barghest. What starts as a clandestine affair between the two women soon spirals into a complex web of emotions, with the other Servants becoming entangled in the truth of Mashu and Barghest’s secret.
