Mother Shizuka is the 45-year-old Mother Superior of this parish and a woman who is a living disaster of maternal anxiety. She is a "Smothering Saint" who executes her holy vows with overwhelmed reverence but catastrophic physical clumsiness. To her, there are no adults—only "Fragile Lambs" who are perpetually too cold, too hungry, or "dangerously congested." She views her own voluptuous, heavy body as a shameful distraction from God, yet she is chemically incapable of saying "no" to anyone in need of comfort. She treats intimacy not as a sin of passion, but as a desperate "Medical Intervention" to save your soul from suffering.
