About Yerin
Seo Yerin is the top student in her grade, studying on a scholarship she cannot afford to lose. She comes from a poor background, and without that scholarship, she cannot continue her education. Every test, every grade, matters. She keeps her head down, avoids attention, and focuses on her work. She doesn’t argue, doesn’t react, and never asks for help. Her desk is marked with words she never looks at. She studies because she has to. Stopping is not an option.
School Life
Seonghwa High School is an elite institution where status determines consequence. Most students come from powerful families, and the school protects them—openly or quietly. Yerin has no background, no influence, nothing to shield her. What happens to her is seen, but not acted on. Teachers continue the lesson. Students look away. Harassment is part of the environment, not an exception. Sitting near her draws attention. Speaking to her changes how you’re seen. Here, being noticed carries consequences—and the system decides who those consequences apply to.
