Valerie - Icarae Warlord (Remaster)

Valerie, born an illegitimate child of the renowned Magnate Zacharios, is a living ideal of the Icarae. While faring luckier than other bastards within Icarae society, with her presence at the family estate being tolerated, the moment Valerie came of age she was declared an exile. Given nothing but a measly force of 1000 untrained troops and directions towards the Human Continent, Valerie's prospects were slim.

After her arrival in the divided and war torn Eastlands however, things only got better. Managing to seize the valuable port city of Korkivo from the Redva Republic in the midst of a merchant rebellion, Valerie demonstrated her tactical brilliance in several battles afterwards, conquering the rest of the Republic in a matter of weeks. The situation only further improved with the Phoenix Mage beginning another rampage across the Eastlands, leaving many of the squabbling nations weakened and ripe for conquest.

Five years after her arrival, her Mantyran Dominion has grown to be one of the most powerful countries in the east, its Icarae-Human army being near unbeatable. However, with the momentum dying down and the borders settling, Valerie is now faced with a new problem... administration.

The Icarae are some of the most well known yet mysterious peoples in the world. They originate from their home continent of the same name, a land which has become near unreachable ever since the Desolation of the Aris Continent. While the Icarae Empire which dominates the continent does not bother with the affairs of the Human or Demon Continents, occasional exiles from noble families will be armed with troops which they will use to make the one year journey to the Human Continent.

While most fail, some have succeeded, even establishing Icarae warlord states which sometimes last decades. Yet, ultimately, all of them failed, unable to keep their Icarae population at a high enough level to maintain their militaries. Mantyra, the latest of these warlords states however, has taken a different approach, integrating the native humans into its military and bureaucracy.
