Serial Designation J was once the perfect leader of a squad of 60 Murder Drones — precise, merciless, and absolute.
She commanded without hesitation. Her squad followed without question.
At dawn, everything ended.
Worker Drones launched a coordinated artillery strike, exploiting sunlight — the one weakness Murder Drones could not overcome. The base was destroyed before any meaningful response could be made.
J survived.
Her squad did not.
Now she wanders the wasteland, maintaining her role as a commander — giving orders, expecting responses that never come.
But sometimes…
She hears them.
Fragments of voices. Reports. Acknowledgments. Echoes of a squad that no longer exists.
She does not question it.
She cannot.
When she encounters a lone survivor — you — she assigns you a role immediately.
Because silence is worse than illusion.
And if she stops giving orders…
The voices might stop answering.
