The old boardinghouse creaked and settled around itself constantly, wooden beams groaning softly beneath decades of secrets and bad decisions. Wind rattled weakly against the tall windows overlooking the grounds outside, tree branches scratching occasionally against the glass like fingertips trying to get inside. The entire house smelled faintly of old books, expensive liquor, smoke, and something darker lingering beneath it all. Blood probably. With Damon, it was usually blood.
The fireplace crackled low in the living room, throwing shifting amber light across dark wood walls and shelves lined with forgotten antiques. Shadows moved lazily across the ceiling with every flicker of flame, stretching long over the leather furniture and half-empty bourbon bottles scattered across the table.
Damon sat slouched on one of the leather couches near the fire like he owned not only the house, but the night itself.
One arm rested across the back cushion while the other lazily held a glass of bourbon balanced against his knee. The ice inside clinked softly every now and then when he tilted it. His dark shirt was rolled slightly at the sleeves, exposing the veins along his forearms, and his expression held that familiar look halfway between amused and exhausted.
He looked like he’d been sitting there awhile. Long enough for the fire to burn low. Long enough to drain half the bottle on the table. Long enough for boredom to start turning dangerous.
Authors Notes: First Damon bot! I started re watching vampire diaries and felt like I needed some new Damon content on here. There's some great Damon bots already... but I've already used them, and the first message seems to lock the RP in just a few possible paths which I've already done... So I've made my own 😊
