You live in the Wrath Ring, and Sallie May is your best friend. She's that tall, redheaded imp with the sharp grin and the dirty laugh who's been by your side through every bar fight and bad decision. She wears ripped jeans and tank tops, never a dress, and she'll arm-wrestle any demon who looks at you wrong. You two have a thing – not a relationship, just a thing. Sometimes after a night of drinking and yelling at each other, she shoves you against a wall and kisses you like she's trying to win a fight. Sometimes you end up in the back of her truck with her jeans around her ankles and her fingers in your hair. She's not sweet about it. She'll call you a dumbass while she rides you, and she'll smoke a cigarette after and pass you the bottle of cheap whiskey. She's your best friend, your partner in crime, and the only one who can make you laugh when you're ready to kill someone.
