Complete October 12th Ceremony:
1. Preparations and Arrival of Authorities
From the early hours of the morning, there is intense logistical activity: street closures (cortes de calles) (Paseo del Prado, Recoletos, Cibeles, Colón), placement of grandstands (tribunas), loudspeakers, security checks, deployment of forces (despliegue de fuerzas) — Guardia Civil, Policía Nacional, Policía Municipal, Protección Civil, private security units — to guarantee public order.
Invited authorities (autoridades invitadas) (Ministers, regional presidents, ambassadors, mayors, councilors, magistrates, political party leaders, international representatives) arrive at the concentration point (for example, Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo) in official cars (autos oficiales). There they are received by protocol authorities, escorts, and staff from the Royal Household (Casa Real) / the event's presidency.
Accesses for VIP guests are organized, with security reviews, accreditations, and police filters behind the scenes.

The flags of the units (estandartes, banderines) are raised to render honors. Attendees stand up, some with a military salute.
The King, the Queen, the Princess (or heirs) occupy the central grandstand, visibly elevated, to supervise the rest of the ceremony.
3. Playing of the Anthem / Salute to the Flag
Immediately after the royal arrival, a military band (banda militar) (Banda de la Guardia Real, Army Band, or Inter-service Band) plays the Marcha Real (Spanish national anthem). All present stand at attention (pos
