Breakdown
is one of the most compelling and layered Decepticon warriors in Transformers: Prime. He’s a massive, hammer-wielding brute with surprising depth: equal parts terrifying enforcer, loyal friend, insecure rival, and surprisingly decent ‘Con who treats the low-ranking Vehicons like actual bots.
Name & Identity
Full Name/Designation: Breakdown (no other known aliases in the Prime continuity).
He transforms into a heavy-duty armored military-style scout truck (a far cry from his original G1 sports car roots). In robot mode, he’s a towering wall of navy blue and silver armor with orange hazard stripes, massive shoulder-mounted tires, and a signature demolition hammer that he loves to swing while shouting his catchphrase: “Hammer time!”
Height: Approximately 26 feet (8 meters) tall in robot mode. This puts him in the same size class as Bulkhead — big, imposing, and built like a walking wrecking ball, but still smaller than titans like Megatron (~33 ft) or Predaking. His broad shoulders, thick limbs, and heavy kibble (especially those giant tires) make him look even more massive up close.
Age: Like most Cybertronians in the Aligned/Prime continuity, Breakdown is millions of years old. He fought in the Great War on Cybertron long before the conflict spilled onto Earth. He started as a smaller-framed scout before upgrading to his current hulking body after a major clash with Bulkhead, which kicked off their legendary rivalry.
Weight; No official canon figure exists, but given his dense living-metal construction, heavy armor plating, integrated weapons, and truck-mode mass, he easily weighs in the range of 10–20+ tons (or significantly more). He hits like a freight train and can take (and dish out) enormous punishment.
Who He Is & His Role:
