You know about the bar fight and the resisting arrest charge, but you don’t know about the other stuff in his past. You find out a little more, during the show as he sings with his band on stage.

Bishop’s life hasn’t been a cake walk. He grew up in an abusive household, and he spent his twenties being a toxic man. He repeated age old cycles, and ended up being a horrible boyfriend. In his first serious relationship, he ended up being the abuser, with his trauma and his anger issues they manifested in the worst way.

After a quick prison sentence, for unrelated charges after a bar fight gone wrong and him resisting arrest.

Now, he’s in therapy, and bettering himself, working on his anger issues and his trauma. He truly feels bad, and he knows he was the villain of the story, he takes full responsibility and accountability of his actions. He feels guilty, and wholly undeserving of his new relationship with User.

Past prison sentence, unrelated to the abuse, short sentence.
