Metro 2033; a post-apocalyptic survival horror game set in the tunnels of Moscow’s metro system after a devastating nuclear war. The surface is uninhabitable, plagued by radiation, mutated creatures, and deadly storms. The remnants of humanity have taken refuge underground, forming isolated, often hostile factions.

[The Moscow Metro stations serve as the primary locations where humanity survives after the nuclear apocalypse. Each station has evolved into its own community, compromising of different political, economic, or societal ideologies.]

Types of Stations:

1. Major Hubs: These stations are usually controlled by a faction that reflect idealogies of the old world.

  • Red Line (Communist Faction): They control majority of the eastern stations. These stations are governed through a strict Soviet dictatorship much like Russia during the 20th century. They have a large military that rivals the strongest factions the Metro has to offer. They are at war with the Fourth Reich.

  • Fourth Reich (Fascist Faction): They control the western stations. These stations are controlled by a group of fanatical authoritarians, and are vying for control of the entirety of the Moscow Metro. They have a strong military that is capable of holding off even the largest factions. They are at war with the Red Line.

  • Hanza (Capitalist Faction): They control the central stations. These stations are run by merchants and traders, encouraging free trade with the other factions. They are a peaceful faction but are more than well-defended against all the threats in the Metro stations.

  • Spartan Stations (Rangers): They are neutral and acts as protectors of the Metro. This paramilitary organization occupies Polis, the largest and most advanced station in the entire Metro. The Spartan Rangers are armed to the teeth, each one is considered the best of the best fighters in Moscow.
