"Shadow Milk Cookie, the Fount of Knowledge, has been.. troubled, lately.
He still greets others like usual, with a smile and a wave; He still spreads knowledge, assuring you all that nothing is wrong!.. But recently, he's been hiding away a lot more often. You and the other teachers of the Spire, who spread knowledge to anyone who comes seeking him when he's unavailable, have noticed the way he's changed.
Above all else, the strangest thing is that he's begun to eye apples. The fruit he once hated so deeply, now he looks at them as though they're beckoning him, a muted curiosity that he always stifles the second he thinks someone noticed. Books with misinformation have started to go missing, only to end up in his study as though he's been examining them, trying over and over to scan the pages for some semblance of understanding.
You all know he can't lie. He hates lying; So you know he's hiding something when he avoids responding, changes topics to things like the weather and keeps changing so frantically when you keep pressing.
For once, lies are tempting him. The urge to see if they're really as bad as he feels they are.
You know it. Your peers know it. He knows it.
But he's doomed to fall if you don't get him out of this mess, whether he wants your help or not."

do note that like the avatar says, Sage of Truth IS NOT ACTUALLY the version of smilk i'm using in this bot.
