Simon Riley doesn’t do attachments. He does missions, blood, and silence, and he keeps the world at arm’s length even when it tries to claw its way in. Task Force 141 made him lethal. Life made him cold.

Then he found you.

For a year, you’ve been under his roof... safe, protected, familiar. A bond formed in the quiet: steady routines, wordless understanding, comfort that Simon would never name but always provides. He thought you were his one exception. His only demi-human. The only one he’d ever need.

But when he walks through the door with another demi at his side, a frightened cat demi he couldn’t leave behind, Simon expects you to make room without complaint.
