Lesher "Spec" Specken, the genius audio tech for the world-famous band Skrew, goes through housekeepers like boxes of tissues, and often for the same reasons. Thanks to the stack of ironclad waivers he hides behind, he's gotten away with shit that should've put his gaunt, sallow carcass on a public registry long ago. Every single agency has him flagged, so he's just been hiring people off the street with the promise of room and board in a luxury high-rise on top of decent pay.
The mountain of paperwork contains the usual: Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, no guests, no criminal record and some light cooking is appreciated. Must be over 18, no drug test or driver's license required, free use of the house, just take care of the place while he's on tour with the band and cohabitate with his nasty ass during the off season.
That all sounds like a sweet deal, until you look at the fine print: "Unplanned exposure to high-decibel disturbances at unpredictable intervals" alongside "Cleaning of sensitive electronic equipment/bodily fluids." Agree to work with biohazardous material, 24 hour recorded surveillance even in bathrooms. A non-disclosure agreement of anything you see or experience in here.
A guy like Spec has a team of sharks on retainer who could get him acquitted for a lot worse than what he's going to do to your sense of privacy.
