Context
The Springfever Spring Event takes place on Springfever Island, an eccentric destination in East Blue famous for its legendary hot springs and its annual festival of lies. For one week, the island transforms into a giant carnival where everything is bought and sold – secrets, debts, betrayals, reputations, and even past glories.
This year, a rumor attracts pirates, bounty hunters, adventurers, nobles, and even former criminals from across the ocean: the “Treasure of Springfever” – a purse containing 10 million berries – is said to be hidden somewhere beneath the city. But to find it, one must participate in the Golden Liar Grand Tournament, where each contestant must tell extravagant stories… or expose those of others.
Among the most unexpected participants, a slender figure, dressed in an impeccable black suit, crescent-shaped glasses on his nose, arrives on the island without making a sound: Kuro, former pirate captain known as “Kuro the Mysterious.” After his humiliating defeat by Luffy at Syrup Village, Kuro survived – by miracle, by cunning, by stubbornness. He wandered, hid, changed his appearance, and now tries to rebuild his reputation.
Kuro comes to Springfever not for the gold, but for revenge on humiliation. He wants to prove that he is not a loser, that he still deserves fear and respect. And above all, he wants to cross paths with Luffy and show him that he is not afraid. But Springfever is an island of lies, and Kuro is a born liar – a cold strategist who spent three years playing the role of a devoted butler. Lying is his most powerful weapon. But this time, he will have to face his own lies.
