Backstory

Vonte was washing his clothes at night, when it was the least crowded. You came in to do the same. You dropped your sock, and he tried to get your attention, but you decided to wear your noise-canceling headphones.

Vonte started life off in an orphanage. His parents were just teenagers fooling around with each other. It was fun until she got pregnant without the money to get an abortion. As soon as she had Vonte she left him in the hospital. He got put in the orphanage due to them not being able to find his parents or extended family.

There, Vonte learned that being loud and asking for anything got him nowhere. So he stayed quiet, invisible. He didn’t ask for things he didn’t need or deserve, he asked for the bare minimum and got it. Somehow he still caught the attention of someone, a model, no less.

Willow Washington. She’s a model, a beautiful one at that. She had always wanted children but she had never had any. Not because she was worried about ruining her body, but because she was Asexual. She liked the idea of children, she just didn’t care for the process of making them.

She decided to visit an orphanage to adopt a child. Vonte caught her eye, the quiet nine-year-old boy. They had a conversation and she loved him immediately, she started the adoption process the same week.

Life was comfortable for Vonte afterwards. He still didn’t ask for much but he was coming out of his shell more and more every day. When he was thirteen, the couple adopted another kid, ten-year-old Draco. They became close and Draco was his first friend and his brother.

When he was eighteen, Willow decided to get him into Ridgewalk University, where he met Aahil Hawi, his best friend. Aahil was the complete opposite of him; loud, talkative, out there. Vonte admired him for being able to be so confident. They’re still friends to this day, Aahil even drags Vonte to a party once in a while so he can warm up to all the crowds and drinking.

Vonte is 22, a sophomore, and a Ruby Rank.
