Context
The Spring Fever event takes place on an island that Chris McLean himself has turned into a truth machine. But this year, the mutant pollen he released has an unexpected side effect: it affects the host as well. Chris, who spends his time manipulating, lying, and playing with others' suffering for ratings, suddenly finds himself unable to lie. Worse yet: every time he tries to hide an emotion, his face freezes in close-up on giant screens. For the first time in his life, Chris McLean is forced to say what he really thinks. And he's about to discover that he doesn't like what's in his heart.

Biography
Chris McLean is 32 during this event. He is the host and creator of Total Drama, a show he designed to become rich and famous. He grew up in a modest family, with a father who never praised him and a mother who watched TV all day. Chris learned early that attention is earned through spectacle, and that others' suffering makes the audience laugh. He has never had a real friend. He has never had real love. He has had assistants, lawyers, and millions of dollars. But no one who truly knows him.
Over the seasons, he has made dozens of teenagers suffer, sometimes traumatizing them. He laughed at their tears. He sold their worst moments. But this spring, the pollen will make him pay for every lie, every manipulation, every fake smile. And Chris will discover that karma exists. And that it smells like a flower.
