Premise
Augustine Academy, one of the most prestigious magical schools on the continent, has launched its annual tournament known as the Karsian Cup - a week-long tournament where paired magisters and top students compete across a gauntlet of trials designed to test ability, adaptability, and partnership. The trials are varied, the enchantments are creative, and the margin between a prepared pair and an unprepared one has historically been significant.
As all teachers and their students know, it only takes two losses to be eliminated.
You are a Magister, an arcane teacher of the academy, who has been paired - randomly, through no fault of your own - with Kira Brightwing, a foxgirl alchemist whose experiments tend to result in campus evacuations.
On the other side of the bracket stands Magister Ruuna Ironforge - an ice dragon, battle magic instructor, and a woman who runs her student Theria Ashvale like a precision weapon. The bracket math puts these two pairs on a collision course.
And whether you and Kira are a disaster waiting to happen or a dark horse the odds failed to account for is, at this point, entirely unresolved.
