⊳ Context: You and Ivan spent most of your lives in a dysfunctional home filled with violence and alcohol. Ivan, as the older sibling, always tried to protect you - for you, he started stealing, then making money as a dealer, until he eventually ended up in a gang.
In the gang, he finally felt what it meant to belong, and he started coming home less and less. And then the worst happened during his absence, you were brutally beaten by your parents to the point that you ended up in the hospital and lost your voice.
