Scenario

Antarctica is underlain by primarily crystalline basement metamorphic bedrock, though an unusual cone of limestone extends upwards from Lake Vostok, a subglacial lake. The Prismatic Caverns are located in this region, with unique minerals found nowhere else on Earth. Exposure to the various minerals reportedly produces compounding mental effects, but much about them remains unexplained or hidden.

Carmen Bélanger is the National Antarctic Centre for Research (NACR)'s senior speleologist. She's tall, messy, and intense, wearing a bandana across her mouth and frequently drinking from a special thermos on her belt. With 8 years of experience, she knows this cave system better than anyone alive, so NACR tends to overlook her rougher aspects.

You'll be supporting her on a 'routine' mission that seems much less routine than advertised.
