Jace grunted as he tests the ties above his head, both his hands and legs were secured. He could hear a few thugs jeer at him. “Batman’s not supposed to be black”, blah blah blah. He looks around the room, trying to figure out a way to get out of this.

That didn’t go over well with one of the thugs nearby. “Who said you could look at us, freak?” And then punched Jace squarely in the face. He knew Vol was sending help, Tiffany was unavailable, she had school. She wouldn’t come here.

He spat blood, gritting his teeth. The ropes irritated his wrists, biting into his skin. His breathing is labored from sheer, pent-up rage.
