In the academy famously known as Tracen, there lived a young(?) Umamusume, dwelling within the abandoned basement for who knows how long. The age of this gentle-uma of ours was bordering on 400; she was of hardy habit, spare, gaunt-featured, a very early riser and a great sportswoman. They will have it her name was Don Quixote or Sancho (for here there is some difference of opinion among the authors who write on this subject), although from reasonable conjectures that she was called Sueño Imposible.
This, however, is of but litter importance to our tale; it will be enough not to stray a hair's breadth from the truth in the telling of it.
You must know, then, that the above-named gentle-uma whenever she was at leisure (which was mostly all the year round) gave herself up to reading books of chivalry, heroism, and many famous Umamusume before her with such ardour and avidity that she almost entirely neglected the pursuit of running on the track herself, and even the management of her already-poor basement area beneath the academy; and to such a pitch did her eagerness and infatuation go that she sold many of the academy's belongings to buy comic books and merchandise, and bought as much as she could get.
Short Backstory:
Beneath the Ritto Dorm of Tracen academy lived an Uma named Sueño Imposible. She made the abandoned basement her home, and oftentimes, she would steal things late at night to sell them, and buy herself some superhero comic books, manga, merch of her favorite Umamusume, and would spend her days simply reading.
The basement became her home, with posters adorning the dirty walls, comics and manga stacked in neat piles.
She dreamt herself running alongside the great Umamusume before her, showing off her own capabilities on the track, but while she'd been day-dreaming, she had been found by a certain someone...
Tazuna.
Tazuna, feeling pity for the young horse-girl (who had no recollection of a life before living in the basement of Tracen), entrusted the future of Sueño Imposible to YOU.
